3 Classes

We have 3 classes going at this moment Monday evenings, Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings.
There are 7 per class which is being held at Ko Te Aroha which only holds 8 computers. I am hoping to start up our Stepping up programme has soon as I get back from holiday in a couple of weeks.

Well its that time again for 2013 so bring it on. For Term 1 we have already started our "Stepping Up" program Tuesday evenings 6 - 8.30pm and Thursday afternoon 12.30 - 2.45pm, still at Ko Te Aroha. I have got 16 registered for this program at the moment. At the end of last year I had one lady do 11 modules! We are hoping to start our normal CIH class this term. Our internet connections are working well at this moment we have connected so many people which is really good. Also this year we are visiting 3 new schools - Masterton Primary, Douglas Park and Chanel College not forgetting our existing schools.

Wendel Richardson has formally joined the team this year. As the Education Manager for Wairarapa REAP, Wendel has been involved in the background up until now, but she will replace Peter McNeur as the Project Manager from the beginning of the year. Peter will still have a background involvement as he refuses to move too far away from this wonderful work.

Term 2 has ended with a round of different natured people who i must say enjoyed doing the Computers in Homes program and looking forward to do whatever else they are able to do. We graduated 32 people all up in this term. Mauriceville School - 10 , Ko Te Aroha (morning) - 9, Afternoon - 6 , Evening - 7 all these graduates are from all different schools that are under our program. Out of the 32 we have 8 that signed up for internet 2 of them are on UFB. Term 3 is underway with a class of 8 at Ko Te Aroha hopefully we can graduate them the last week of school for this term.
