TERM 2 - Kia Ora everyone this term has been a bit of a topsy turvy for our CIH classes due to the number of people that sign up and then we have bit of a drop off due to people finding part time or full time jobs or otherwise they can't do mornings or afternoons only evenings but we still manage to have 2 classes up and running.
At this moment we have a  CIH class in Featherston which we had 6 signed up but 2 pulled off for work commitments so that leaves us with 4 to graduate. We have a CIH class also at Douglas Park School with a class of 8 which is good. The Graduation for these classes are : Fstn Tues 30th June @ 4 30pm @ Fstn School, DPS Mon 29th June @ Douglas Park School 4 30pm.
Stepping Up - At this moment we have a class running on a Friday morning @ Ko Te Aroha and we have people going there because they have forgotten what they learnt from the first course.

INTERNET - Everyone has there ups and downs with this one we have had a lot of minor problems with this one like bad modems or hard drives break down or its running slow or they use up all there gigabytes.

KIWISKILLS / ICDL - We are hoping to start this program this term. We start off with a small group first then we probably could expand for more.

Well its that time again for 2013 so bring it on. For Term 1 we have already started our "Stepping Up" program Tuesday evenings 6 - 8.30pm and Thursday afternoon 12.30 - 2.45pm, still at Ko Te Aroha. I have got 16 registered for this program at the moment. At the end of last year I had one lady do 11 modules! We are hoping to start our normal CIH class this term. Our internet connections are working well at this moment we have connected so many people which is really good. Also this year we are visiting 3 new schools - Masterton Primary, Douglas Park and Chanel College not forgetting our existing schools.

Kia Ora Everyone,                                                                                                                                               Its the last lot of CIH classes for 2014 also SUP classes it has been one busy Term 4. We have had 5 CIH classes a week this time around 3 in Masterton,1 in Featherston and the other in Dannevirke so we will graduate 35 for term 4 plus we will certificate 12 people for SUP who have done at least 4 or more modules. What my people do after their CIH classes is they just turn over to SUP after their graduation which is really good. These 2 are discussing how to do what they are learning. Michael Whitelock and Annette Peters are having a discussion on how to do what they have to do by reading their sheet. These 2 photo's are both from Douglas Park School. These 2 lovely ladies are concentrating on doing the Spreadsheet part which is part of their learning by doing up a finance sheet for themselves.

And Wendel as well...

Wendel Richardson has formally joined the team this year. As the Education Manager for Wairarapa REAP, Wendel has been involved in the background up until now, but she will replace Peter McNeur as the Project Manager from the beginning of the year. Peter will still have a background involvement as he refuses to move too far away from this wonderful work.
